This year’s showcase, from May 13th to May 17th, featured the latest Resort 2025 collections. From Alix Higgins’ digital prints to Injury’s cyberpunk metallics, here are our top picks from the season.
Alix Higgins
Anticipation was high as attendees awaited Alix Higgins’ Resort 2025 collection. This marked the third consecutive year the Sydney-based designer, a Marine Serre alumnus, participated in Australian Fashion Week, reflecting his rising prominence. Known for his bold, Internet-inspired designs, Higgins has garnered a dedicated following both locally and internationally, including fans like Troye Sivan, Hunter Schafer, and Grimes.
Higgins’ latest collection, titled “I Forgive You God,” continued to build on his distinctive style, using text and poetry as key elements. Words like ‘Paris Opera’, ‘crush’, and ‘edging’ were creatively collaged on digitally printed scarves, polos, and t-shirts. Fingerprint patterns appeared as polka dots on sweatshirts and tank tops. On the third day of the event, Higgins presented a collection that emphasized human connection, showcasing his talent for creating designs that are both light and confident. This collection reaffirmed his status as one of the most exciting designers in Australia and beyond.
