The streetwear scene gets a luxurious touch with the collaboration between AVAVAV and Eastpak. Known for making waves at Fashion Week, AVAVAV teams up with the renowned bag brand Eastpak to launch a new collection at Milan Fashion Week. This collaboration reimagines Eastpak’s classic Padded Pak’r backpack with innovative and functional designs.
Beate Karlsson, AVAVAV’s creative director, brings a fresh perspective to the Padded Pak’r by deconstructing and multiplying its form, resulting in modern, luxurious streetwear pieces. “I aimed to build on Eastpak’s essence while introducing new AVAVAV silhouettes. I admire the round, organic shape of the Padded Pak’r and began experimenting with it, creating new shapes through deconstruction and multiplication,” Karlsson explained.
The collection features four distinctive pieces:
- AV Double Pak’r: Offers dual functionality with two handles, front pockets, a padded laptop sleeve, an organiser, and adjustable straps.
- AV Reader: Converts the traditional backpack into a roomy travel companion with a main compartment, a security pocket, and four front compartments.
- AV Bumbag: A practical, water-resistant waist bag with three compartments and adjustable/detachable straps for versatile use.
- AV Mini Bag: A compact, stylish accessory perfect for those who need a small but functional bag.
