Calvin Klein Names Veronica Leoni as Creative Director
A New Era Begins
After a five-year break from the runway, Calvin Klein is making a notable return with the appointment of Veronica Leoni as the new Creative Director of Collection. This pivotal moment follows the departure of Belgian designer Raf Simons in 2018, leaving the position vacant until now. Leoni’s inaugural collection will debut in the Fall/Winter 2025 season, featuring men’s and women’s apparel, underwear, and accessories.
Veronica Leoni, the founder of Quira and a 2023 LVMH Prize finalist, brings a wealth of experience from her tenure at prestigious fashion houses such as Jil Sander, Céline (under Phoebe Philo), Moncler, and The Row. In her new role at Calvin Klein, she aims to blend the brand’s modern aesthetic with her unique vision and extensive industry knowledge. Reporting to Global Brand President Eva Serrano, Leoni will focus on enhancing the mainline portfolio and red carpet offerings with her innovative designs.
Leoni expressed her excitement and honor at the opportunity to contribute to Calvin Klein’s legacy. “For decades, Calvin Klein has embodied bold self-expression, and I am eager to amplify this with a strong focus on style and creativity,” she stated. Her appointment is part of Serrano’s strategic efforts to preserve Calvin Klein’s legacy while appealing to the next generation of consumers. With Leoni’s vision and ambition, the brand is poised to strengthen its foundation and become one of the most coveted lifestyle brands worldwide, following high-profile collaborations with stars like Jungkook, Jennie Kim, Alexa Demie, Kid Cudi, and more.
