Palomo Spain x Zalando

Palomo Spain is the phenomenon of the moment. Following the announcement of their collaboration with Puma, the designer from Posadas (Córdoba) has revealed a new partnership with Zalando for a genderless capsule collection of fifteen pieces titled “La verbena del Palomo,” accompanied by an exclusive event in Madrid. This event gathered various creatives, including stylist and influencer Marc Forné, artist Miranda Makaroff, singers Amaia, Julieta, and Juanjo (OT), and actors Ander Puig and Martina Cariddi, among others.

Despite their different backgrounds, Zalando and Palomo Spain share a similar vision of fashion. Founded in Berlin in 2008, Zalando has become the leading pan-European e-commerce ecosystem for fashion. Palomo Spain, established in 2016 by Alejandro Gómez Palomo, blends the spirit of southern Spain with modern London sophistication, gaining international acclaim in a few years. This collaboration combines Zalando’s massive reach and technology with Palomo Spain’s craftsmanship and essence, celebrating the culture of summer fairs.

The collection, entirely made in Spain, includes fifteen pieces of clothing and accessories. Inspired by the iconic designs of the Andalusian designer and the traditional summer fairs of southern Spain, this line is notable for its genderless approach and vibrant, celebratory style. The designs merge classic elements like vibrant colors, floral prints, embroidery, and raffia, typical of Spanish style, with modern details and asymmetric silhouettes. The official campaign, featuring Amaia and Hugo Arbués, captures the essence of celebration, music, and the colors of summer that characterize this collaboration.

Furthermore, Zalando and Palomo Spain have taken the experience of “La verbena del Palomo” to new heights. An exclusive celebration encapsulated the festive joy and authenticity of village fairs, with performances by artists such as Paula Cendejas, Julieta, and Israel Fernández, who delighted the audience with their music. The event was a tribute to the spirit of the verbena, with guests including actress Lucía Avedaño, influencers Jessica Goicoechea, Nacho Ferrero, and Paula Cremades, model Enrique Fariñas, and artist and performer Hugáceo Crujiente, all dancing and enjoying the festivities.

In Alejandro’s words, “Working with Zalando on this collection has been a true pleasure. ‘La verbena del Palomo’ captures the essence of the fairs and the summers of our youth. We want those who wear these clothes to be transported to those warm nights full of music and celebration, surrounded by friends and community.”
